The Wellbeing of our Children

Introduce your children to the magic of Yoga, movement and mindfulness with this fantastic ‘back to school’ workshop. Sunday 4 September, 10am-12noon. £12

“If you do one thing for the mental wellbeing of your child, introduce them to Yoga…”

Sarah Crossley, founder of Your Wellbeing Company is THE teacher and guide when it comes to childrens’ wellbeing. Working closely with the NHS and education establishments, she is on a mission to make Yoga and Mindfulness a permanent fixture in the lives of our little ones. A children’s yoga and wellbeing consultant and teacher, she adores teaching yoga because it teaches very important life skills to help children feel good and succeed as they grow.

Children’s yoga can be lots of fun. In these workshops, children are guided on wonderful adventures, exploring and creating magical movements with their bodies, whilst incorporating breathing exercises and games.

The breathing exercises and relaxation techniques taught in these sessions help children with the life skills of reducing anxiety, improving emotional literacy and supporting stress management.

Benefits of yoga for children

1. If you ever feel nervous or stressed, yoga has the power to help you feel better by teaching you lots of skills and little tricks that really work

2. Yoga helps you manage tricky emotions. It teaches you to be present in the moment while relaxing and gaining a peaceful state of mind

3. Yoga can help you feel good and confident about yourself. When perfecting a pose or improving your balance and flexibility it can give you a big boost

4. Yoga teaches you about your body and just how amazing it can feel and be

5. It even helps your concentration and memory. When you focus on a pose or your breathing you are training your brain to become strong

6. Doing yoga makes you strong, flexible and focused. It’s basically a super power!

Bring your children to our next workshop, supporting the transition back to school, easing nerves and expectations for the new adventures ahead.
